Aimplan is a fast-growing international company based in the northern part of Sweden, in a town called Skellefteå. Aimplan helps organizations plan, forecast, and report smarter in Microsoft Power BI. We extend Power BI and Microsoft Fabric with business and financial planning, reporting, and data management.
How it started
We saw finance and business teams struggle with scattered spreadsheets and disconnected tools. Planning and reporting were slow and error prone. Numbers were constantly questioned, and decisions were delayed.

With long experience in financial planning and corporate performance management, we knew there had to be a better way. Instead of forcing companies onto another standalone platform, we set out to bring full planning and reporting into Power BI, the tool people already know and trust.

That idea became Aimplan. Today more than 100+ organizations in 17 countries use our solution.

Meet our founder
Aimplan was founded by Erik Lidman, who has more than 25 years of experience in FP&A and corporate performance management. His career has been shaped by helping finance leaders move away from manual and fragmented processes toward smarter and more connected ways of working.

Erik also shares his perspective daily with the FP&A community on LinkedIn, where more than 55,000 people follow his posts. He writes about the full FP&A suite, covering topics such as planning, reporting, business partnering, and the day to day challenges finance teams face. His writing has sparked conversations among professionals across industries and continues to grow a large and engaged audience.

Outside of work, Erik spends time at his summer lake house and enjoys the winter season on his snowmobile. That mix of focus and energy shapes the way we build Aimplan and connect with the FP&A community.
